At approximately 10:15 Thursday morning, a traffic officer and blue Infinity SUV collided in the southbound lanes
of SH-121 near Hall-Johnson Rd. The driver of the SUV swerved to avoid debris on the roadway, and struck Senior Officer RJ Hudson.
Sr. Ofc. Hudson is a 12-year veteran of our force. He was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine, where he is expected to make a full recovery. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Officers shut down two lanes of traffic to investigate the crash scene, and reopened those lanes around 3:00 this afternoon. The crash remains under investigation.
