GRAPEVINE PD ACCIDENT UPDATES …
Grapevine Police responded to a total of 10 weather-related accidents today. Shortly after 10:15 a.m. three separate accidents occurred in the 1000 block of N SH-121 southbound going to SH-114 westbound (at the flyover.) These crashes involved a total of 10 vehicles, including a Grapevine Fire engine that was assisting with wrecks. No police or fire personnel were injured, but one person involved in the crash was transported to the hospital with injuries that are NOT life-threatening. The highway was shut down for just under three hours, and crews re-opened the road once TxDOT crews treated the bridge for ice.
Grapevine Police observed several vehicles today driving too fast for the road conditions, and would like to remind everyone to slow down both tonight and tomorrow. Expect slick spots on elevated roadways, overpasses and bridges, and anticipate extra time for your commute if you must travel.
