It was close after the 1st quarter where Southlake only had a 1 point lead. Then it wasn’t and the Dragons ended up winning 51-19 over Denton Guyer. Carroll’s (14-0) semifinal game against Desoto (11-3) is 2pm Saturday at Mansfield’s Vernon Newsom Stadium.

Absolutely no contest for Carroll, beating San Angelo Central 72-7. Carroll (12-0) will play Prosper (11-1) in one of the state’s marquee regional semifinals at 7 p.m. Friday at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington.

Colleyville finished Grapevine’s season with a 58-25 win. Grapevine goes into the off-season with the hopes of a turnaround for next year. Colleyville finished 3rd in the district and will face Melissa on Friday night.

After a week to rest Southlake starts their playoff run tonight against Crowley at 7:00pm.
