Keller voters trying to decide whom to vote for in the May 2 election will have the opportunity to learn more about City Council candidates in the weeks ahead.
Please also note that while neither of these is a city event, a quorum of the City Council may be present.
A debate featuring candidates for Mayor and Places 4, 5 and 6 has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at Keller Town Hall, 1100 Bear Creek Pkwy., hosted by a community group named Citizens to Protect Keller’s Small-Town Feel.
The following week, the Keller Republican Club has invited all the candidates to a Meet & Greet-style event scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 16, also at Keller Town Hall.
As we have in the past for public debates, the city will live-stream and record the April 8 event so that residents unable to attend in person can watch it on the city website, local cable channels or our YouTube channel.
As a reminder, City Council elections are nonpartisan, which means candidates will be listed on the ballot by name only without any party identifiers. Early voting in the spring election will run from April 20-28. For more details about the spring election, visit www.cityofkeller.com/election
