CCPD on the May Ballot – Key Facts for VOTERS –
The CCPD (Crime Control & Prevention District) half-cent sales tax currently funds the salaries and expenses of the Grapevine Police Department, including uniformed police officers, dispatch, jail operations, and criminal investigations.
It is a part of the existing half-cent sales tax received by the City from the sale of goods and services. A significant portion of the City’s sales tax is generated by tourism and paid for by non-Grapevine citizens.
