The City desires to partner with neighborhoods (both HOA and non-HOA) throughout
Colleyville in its effort to beautify the entire City. The City will provide a matching grant up to $25,000 for improvements to neighborhood entrances through landscape, hardscape, and other beautification improvements.
Program Parameters
- One-time 50% matching grant up to $25,000. The grant is provided as a reimbursement after proof of project completion and receipts.
- Qualifying expenses include: perennial plants/flowers, bushes, trees, masonry walls, water features, lighting/up-lighting, monument signs, rock outcropping, pavers, or statues/art (on a case-by-case basis).
- Improvements must be made to a neighborhood entrance. Funds can be split among multiple entrances up to the $25,000 limit.
- HOAs and non-HOA applicants should provide a concept plan including plant material, hardscape elements, irrigation, and cost. Applications should include a maintenance plan.
- Water/sewer tap fees will be waived for grant participants if taps are needed as a part of improvements.
- Applications are subject to approval by the City Council. Approval should be received prior to work commencing.
Process
- Complete application and submit to City Manager’s Office (CMO).
- Landscape plans will be reviewed and feedback provided by the City’s Beautification Supervisor.
- CMO will discuss with City Council in executive session under economic development.
- City Council will vote on each application via resolution.
