Started as a volunteer firefighter, new Fire Marshal has been with Colleyville for 23 years in one capacity or another

Robbie McKeown became the city’s new Fire Marshall at 8:00 am on Monday morning.
Robbie McKeown is truly a hometown staple item. After all, he graduated from Grapevine High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart. He started as a volunteer firefighter in Colleyville for five years and became an employee 18 years ago. Two years later he started his family with his first beautiful daughter.
McKeown is now the city’s Fire Marshall.

In anticipation that he may some day pursue this career path, McKowen attended the Police Academy in 1993 and worked as a reserved police officer until 1997 when his duties at the fire department expanded. The fire department picked up his commission and he later attended arson and inspector school. The position came open when former Fire Marshall Jeff Jones left to assume another position.
