Did you know the Bedford Police Department made 27 DWI arrests during July? That earns the top spot in Tarrant County for the month. It’s a reminder that impaired driving continues to be a serious threat on our roads.
You can help keep our roads safe by knowing the warning signs of a potentially impaired driver:
Weaving, swerving, or drifting between lanes Driving unusually slow or at inconsistent speeds Braking suddenly or without an apparent reason Making unusually wide turns Driving without headlights at night Nearly striking curbs, vehicles, or other objects Driving the wrong way or into oncoming trafficIf you suspect a driver is impaired, keep a safe distance and do not attempt to stop or confront them. When it is safe to do so, contact law enforcement and provide the vehicle’s location, direction of travel, description, and license plate, if you’re able to safely observe it.
