Operation Slowdown is taking place July 18 through August 2, with law enforcement agencies across Texas increasing patrols to target speeding drivers as part of TxDOT’s annual safety campaign.
Speeding remains one of the leading causes of serious and fatal crashes in Texas. During the campaign, you’ll likely see more DPS Troopers and local officers watching highways, rural roads, and city streets for drivers exceeding the speed limit.
Taking a few extra minutes to reach your destination is a small price to pay for getting there safely.
