Southlake residents should be aware of a statewide emergency alert test scheduled for Thursday, April 2, between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM, at the request of the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).
As part of this coordinated drill, the City of Southlake will send a citywide Alert Southlake notification at approximately 10:00 AM.
Outdoor warning sirens will not be tested during this drill. Sirens will follow the City’s regular testing schedule on April 1.
Because multiple Texas cities and counties are participating, you may receive more than one alert on your mobile phone or weather radio, depending on your location. You may also see or hear alerts on television or the radio.
This is only a test. No action is needed.
This statewide test helps confirm you can receive important safety information quickly on your phone and other devices during real emergencies.
