Grapevine Police Investigate Deadly Crash
GRAPEVINE, Texas – Grapevine Police are investigating a deadly crash in the 2500 block of Mustang Drive overnight.
At around 2:15 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, a white Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound on Mustang Drive near Heritage when it veered off the road and hit a tree in the median. The jeep caught on fire and was engulfed in flames when officers arrived on scene. Firefighters arrived a few minutes later to put out the fire, and medics pronounced the driver deceased.
The medical examiner will identify the driver following notification to next of kin. The driver was the sole occupant inside the vehicle.
A portion of Mustang Drive was closed this morning while police examined the scene and cleared debris. The crash remains under investigation.
