COLLEYVILLE EX-COUNCILMAN CASES DISPOSED
George L. Bond, former resigned Colleyville City Councilman, received just 24 months probation for both combined Driving While Intoxicated arrests he incurred last spring.
In his latest PreTrial hearing on Monday, morning, August 19, 2024 in Tarrant County CC-10, each of the two DWI cases were presented as Disposed by Prosecutor Ben Clements and Bond’s defense attorney, Mark T. Lassiter.
George Bond was arrested on the first DWI charge on February 13, 2024 by Colleyville Police. He was a sitting Councilman at that time, and privately proclaimed his blood alcohol level would likely prove his innocence.
His case moved at a slow pace in the Courtroom from the Evidence Exchange hearing to PreTrial, however.
Meanwhile on May 23, 2024, at 3:17 am, George Bond was again arrested for a second time by Colleyville Police.
The charge was for Driving While Intoxicated BAC>=0.15
George Bond resigned from the Colleyville City Council after this arrest.
