Candidate filings for City Council seats for the May 4, 2024 General Election will be open from Wednesday, January 17 to Friday, February 16. The City will conduct a General Election on May 4 to elect City Councilmembers to Places 5 and 6. Applications will be available at the City Secretary’s Office on the third floor of Colleyville City Hall, 100 Main Street or online at Colleyville.com starting January 5.
City Councilmembers are elected to three-year terms. Candidates must be a resident of the City of Colleyville or within an incorporated area annexed by the City, according to the City Charter. Candidates must have been a resident for at least 12 months, be qualified voters of the State of Texas and the City of Colleyville, and cannot be financially delinquent to the City.

The City of Colleyville will open a permanent voting center on February 1, 2024, at the Colleyville Recreation Center, Annex A, 5008 Roberts Road. All State, Federal, and General Local elections will be conducted at this facility and will no longer be held at Colleyville City Hall or the Colleyville Public Library.
