Two separate SUP helipads requests at each end of Oak Knoll Drive in southern Colleyville were met with citizen resistance this week via social media, emails and signs.
The Planning and Zoning Commission was scheduled to hear both requests at the December 11, 2023 meeting.
One of the helipad Applicants has blinked!
Caris Real Estate LLC has withdrawn their application from the P&Z. This is the 4.79 acre site in the 1407 to 1505 block of Oak Knoll Drive.
The remaining application …
Case ZC23-031, SPECIAL USE PERMIT for a helipad at 2325 Oak Knoll Drive.
The 8 acre residential property is currently owned by McMahan Revocable Trust, according to the Tarrant County Appraisal District, since 11/30/2021.
Previously Brandon and Carrie McMahan were on the deed beginning on 4/10/2018 when the land and former home were purchased from former Texas Ranger baseball player Jeffrey Russell and wife, Melanie Russell.
However, the applicant of the Special Use Permit request for the helipad is listed as Family Tides, LLC.
According to Jacquelyn Reyff, Planning Manager at Colleyville Community Development, when contacted by Local News Only on December 5, 2023, the case was tabled by the Planning & Zoning meeting on 11/13/23.
This helipad request WILL be heard again at the December 11, 2023 P&Z meeting providing it is not taken off the table for Hearing.
Ms. Reyff stated the other Special Use Permit request for a helipad, Case ZC23-034 has now been WITHDRAWN from P&Z consideration on the December 11, 2023 Agenda.
Owned by Caris Real Estate LLC, comprising 4.79 acres at 1407, 1413, 1501, 1505 Oak Knoll Drive, the applicant was Delane Hutchison. The owners of Caris Real Estate LLC are listed as David and Kathryn Halbert.
The final Agenda for the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting for 12/11/23 will be released next week.
