PRESS RELEASE
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT : TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2023
(THE STATE OF TEXAS & SELECT AREAS CELEBRATE TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2023 AND NOT AUGUST 1, 2023)
Neighborhoods throughout your city are invited to join over 38 million neighbors across 17
thousand communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide.
National Night Out is nationally sponsored by NATW, ADT, Starbucks, Association, L.E.A.D. and co-sponsored locally by local businesses.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong
police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods
safer, more caring places to live and work. Together, we are making that happen.
From time to time, neighbors throughout your city and across the nation are asked to lock their
doors, turn on their front porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law
enforcement.
Along with the traditional outside lights and front porch vigils, most communities celebrate
National Night Out by hosting block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various
community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency
personnel, exhibits and more. The NNO 2023 Bursey Ranch Block Party will have visits by
Keller Police, Keller Fire Rescue as well as other county and state law enforcement agencies.
National Project Coordinator, Matt Peskin said, “This is a night for our nation to stand together
and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement. When law enforcement and the community work closely together, some amazing things can happen.”
The city of Keller, TX encourages residents to engage their neighbors and nurture relations with
our first responders and this year’s theme is “Give Crime a Going Away Party”. Bursey Ranch is
among other neighborhoods throughout Keller hosting an event. Bursey Ranch is hosting a
Block Party from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Bursey Ranch Park in the heart of the neighborhood.
(Bursey Ranch Park – 441 Alta Ridge Dr, Keller, TX 76244 – the event will be in the north east
area of the park – SWC of Ridgegate Drive and Rustic Ridge Drive). The event is open to
anyone and the nearby neighborhoods are invited and encouraged to participate. The Bursey
Ranch NNO Block Party coordinator is Will Thorne, Bursey Ranch HOA, 972-804-5486 and
