August 11 Marks the Last Day of Daily Operations for Summer 2023. Hawaiian Falls to Open Weekends Only Thru Sept. 10
According to the National Retail Federation, the cost of school supplies are up 24 percent over the past two years. Families plan to spend $890 on back-to-school items this year.
To ease the burden on families, Hawaiian Falls Roanoke and Mansfield are hosting back-to-school supply drives benefiting local organizations who will distribute items to families in need. Hawaiian Falls Roanoke’s drive benefits the Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE). Hawaiian Falls Mansfield is accepting school supplies for the Mansfield ISD Clothes Closet.
Guests can donate five school supplies to get a $10 day pass (regularly $30.99) good thru August 27. Kids two and under are always free.
To receive the $10 admission, guests must donate a minimum of five (5) of the following items for each discounted ticket:
- One-inch binders • Block erasers
- 24-count crayons • Colored pencils
- Composition books • 8-tab dividers
- Glue bottles • Watercolors
- Highlighters • Index cards (100-count)
- Pencil pouches • Pencil sharpeners
- Markers (10-count) • Rulers
- Backpacks • Scientific calculators
- Manila paper (9×12, 100-count or less)
- Safety scissors
- Notebook paper (wide-ruled, 100-count)
- 1-subject spiral notebooks (wide-ruled)
- Folders (with pockets and brads)
- Construction paper (9×12, 100 count or less)
Friday is the last day of daily operations for Summer 2023. Starting Saturday, August 12, the park will open weekends only thru Sept. 10. More info at www.hfalls.com
