You have to pay attention what your elected officials are doing! Two bills are being introduced that are detrimental to Texas and Tarrant County.
H.B. 3921 (Goldman) – Residential Lot Size and Density Requirements: prohibits a city from requiring a residential lots be larger than 1,400 square fee, wider than 20 feet, or deeper than 60 feet, and from adopting certain other requirements on small lots. The bill applies to cities in counties with a population of 300,000 or more.
S.B. 1787 (Bettencourt) – Residential Lot Size and Density Requirements: prohibits a city from requiring a residential lot to be larger than 1,400 square feet, wider than 20 feet, or deeper than 60 feet, and from adopting certain other requirements on small lots. This bill applies to cities in counties with a population of 300,000 or more.
Call and voice your opposition to these laws being proposed. These bills will crush the integrity of local government and its infrastructure. The cities of Colleyville, Southlake and Keller are joining forces to draft a letter to send to the state and also collaborate with other cities across the State of Texas to voice their opposition.
