Today, Survivors of Childhood Sex Abuse (SCSA) has released our “Report Card” on filed and pending legislation that is before the 88th Texas Legislature that concerns the children of Texas.
These bills concern the elimination of the Statute of Limitations for certain sex crimes against our children in Texas, as well as the institutions and organizations where our children were victimized. In addition to the report card, the statement details our position, and has links to other resources, including a link to a paper by Dr. Scott Easton of Boston College, who is the preeminent expert on “Delayed Disclosure.” This week we will also be sending childhood sex victim and survivor accounts to all members of the legislature, to include all Texas Representatives and Senators, that is intended to be testimonies to be included for the record before the House and Senate committees moving these bills.
