Donations from the event benefited the Tina McCloskey Scholarship Fund.
Tips for a Safe, Fun Spring
As temperatures increase over the next several weeks, the Colleyville Police Department would like to remind you of a few safety tips that are great for keeping your own home and family safe this spring:
Meet Your Neighbors
Let a trusted neighbor know if you are planning to travel this spring. Neighbors who know each other look out for each other. Call us and let us know as well and we will send an officer by every shift to check on your house.
Lock Doors and Windows
Always keep your home’s doors and windows locked when you go to bed or leave your house, even if you are leaving for a short period.
Never Leave Anything Out in Plain Sight
Always remember to close your car windows, take any valuables out of your car, and lock your doors every time you exit your vehicle, even if your vehicle is parked in your driveway. Vehicle burglaries occur typically from unlocked cars or from cars where purses, bags, or electronics are visible from the street. We need your help to HIDE your things, LOCK your car, and TAKE your keys.

Only Rain Goes Down the Drain
STORMWATER POLLUTANTS FIND THEIR WAY INTO WHERE WE FISH, WHAT WE DRINK, AND WHERE WE SWIM
Everything that goes into our storm drains—grass clippings, soap, pesticides, pet waste, whatever—makes its way straight to our streams. Stormwater pollution is our biggest source of water pollution. It all adds up. It all comes back, and you are the solution, now that you know where it goes,
remember, ONLY RAIN GOES DOWN THE DRAIN!
The discharge of any polluted water, sewage, oil, paint, etc. is strictly prohibited. Help protect our community and waterways by reporting stormwater pollution when you see it. For more information, contact the Stormwater Division at 817.503.1090.
