Merry Christmas
Here are some reminders about your city this holiday season.
Christmas Holiday Closures
Non-emergency city offices will close at noon on Friday, Dec. 21, remaining closed through Tuesday, Dec. 25, returning to normal business hours on Wednesday, Dec. 26. This includes the Senior Center.
Trash & Recycling: Monday service will be on regular schedule. Tuesday will shift to Wednesday, Thursday will shift to Friday, and Friday will shift to Saturday.
Recreation & Tennis Center: The centers will be open regular hours Dec. 21 – 23, closing Monday & Tuesday, Dec. 24 & 25 . They will return to regular hours Wednesday, Dec. 26.
Library: Saturday, Dec. 22 the Library will close at 2 p.m. and will remain closed through Tuesday, Dec. 25, returning to regular hours Wednesday, Dec. 26.
Youth in Government
Applications for our Youth In Government program are being accepted until Dec. 31! This year, the Cities of Hurst, Euless, Bedford and the HEB Chamber are partnering to offer high school juniors and seniors in the area an opportunity to learn about local government and the different partnerships within the community. This year’s program will run from January – April, and as always, there will be a chance to win a college scholarship! For all the details and to easily apply online, visit hursttx.gov/YIG.
