Collwycille,
The City of Colleyville will conduct truck- and ATV-mounted adulticide fogging after a mosquito sample site tested positive for West Nile Virus.
Tarrant County Public Health notified city staff on Oct. 4 of a positive mosquito sample from the 4100 block of Windermere Court. In accordance with the City of Colleyville Integrated Mosquito Management Program policies as well as recommendations from Tarrant County Public Health, truck mounted and ATV fogging will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6.
The contractor will use water-based insecticides that contain low toxicity, low odor, rapid biodegradation, and high mosquito mortality. The actual fogging will take place only a portion of the allotted time, likely one to two hours.
For concerns or questions about this application, please contact Public Works at 817.503.1090 or Randy Bright, Environmental Compliance Officer at 817.503.1092. The map shows where the truck-mounted fogging will take place.
