The Grapevine Mustangs (3-1, 1-0 5A District 8) opened district play by defeating the Fort Worth Polytechnic Parrots (0-4, 0-1 5A District 8) 70-0 at Mustang-Panther Stadium Friday, Sep. 29. The Grapevine offense proved to be too much for FW Polytechnic with 432 total yards to Polytechnic’s 1 and 20 first downs. The Mustang defense limited the parrots to only 2 first downs. The Mustangs next home game will be a district matchup against the Richland Rebels (4-0, 1-0 5A District 8) on Friday, Oct. 20.
