North Richland Hills, Texas May 31, 2017
The City of North Richland Hills is enacting Stage 3 emergency water conservation following a break to a 54-inch Fort Worth water main that supplies treated water to North Richland Hills. Until further notice, all NRH water customers should use water for emergency purposes only.
Emergency purposes includes drinking and flushing or other uses necessary for health, sanitation or safety reasons. Water may not be used for irrigation, refilling swimming pools or ornamental fountains. (Recirculated water may continue to be used for swimming pools.) Residents are asked to delay using washing machines and dishwashers until the water main has been repaired. Businesses should limit water uses as much as possible.
The city of Fort Worth has been working since Tuesday night to repair the 54-inch main near Beach Street, however no estimate is currently available on when the repair will be competed. Updates will be posted on the city’s website, www.nrhtx.com, as they become available.
Water is supplied to the City of North Richland Hills from the City of Fort Worth and the Trinity River Authority.
