Southlake, Texas April 5, 2017
TD Ameritrade will soon join the ranks of other prominent businesses along State Highway 114 in Southlake, which is already lined with corporate campuses, hotels, restaurants, and retailers.
The Nebraska-based brokerage firm is slated to open its Southlake location – which will be known as the TD Ameritrade Regional Financial Business Center – near the end of 2017.
The 300,000 square foot Southlake campus will consist of a two-story and a three-story connected building with a parking lot, and will reside on 78 acres next to the Solana business park. Designed by Good Fulton & Farrell architects and constructed by Adolfson & Peterson general contractors, the Southlake location will consolidate approximately 1,400 financial services, technology, and operations staff from the company’s current Fort Worth location.
“We are developing a business operations center that will have a capacity for 2,000,” stated Melissa Matson, a senior specialist for corporate communications at TD Ameritrade, noting that the additional capacity for employees will give the location room to grow over time.
“We are committed to growing our footprint in the DFW area and becoming an employer of choice within the community—recruiting and retaining talented individuals to live and work in the area. By moving 10 miles closer to Dallas, we also hope to tap into the talent pool within Dallas, as well as Fort Worth.”
In March 2017, Southlake City Council approved a tax abatement agreement with TD Ameritrade, incentivizing the mutually beneficial decision of opening the Southlake campus. Construction began on the building mid-2016, after the site plan was approved by Southlake City Council April 19.
“This is exactly the type of high-quality development we want along SH 114 and we couldn’t be happier to welcome TD Ameritrade to Southlake,” said Southlake Mayor Laura Hill.
TD Ameritrade Regional Financial Business Center in Southlake will be located at 3000 TD Ameritrade Lane.
