On Tuesday, March 28th, Kathy Wheat announced the endorsement of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, a taxpayer-advocacy group, for her candidacy for Colleyville City Council. The endorsement comes on the heels of her endorsement by the current officeholder, Mayor Pro-tempore Chris Putnam, who has consistently been praised for his conservative work on the city council.
“Kathy Wheat expressed a strong commitment to put the interests of local taxpayers first,” stated Ross Kecseg, Metroplex Bureau Chief for Texans for Fiscal Responsibility. “From ethics reform, to fiscal transparency, to restoring equity to utility fees, Colleyville has made great strides in recent years. Kathy appears equipped to continue this citizen-centric approach, to govern as a servant of the people.”
After launching her campaign last month, Kathy has hit the ground running, sharing her vision with residents across Colleyville and locking up key endorsements.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility,” Wheat stated. “Colleyville residents deserve common-sense conservative leadership in city hall and I am excited to be that voice.”
Kathy Wheat is a candidate for Colleyville City Council Place 3, dedicated to preserving Colleyville and ensuring accountability and transparency in city government. The Colleyville municipal election is scheduled to take place on May 6, 2017.
