The 355th State District Court Coordinator has set a review hearing of 3/20/17 at 1:30pm for Merrick. He will be transported from Tarrant County Jail (or from his prison unit if he has left TCJ and is a TDC inmate) to the 355th Court in Granbury. After the hearing he will be taken back to Jail or Prison.
Since his attorney of record for the Hood Co. charges is now deceased, he will be given a court appointed attorney. After that, it will be his choice if he retains a private attorney to defend against three counts on two charges against him.
Aurora, CO – Friday morning the Adams County, Colorado District Attorney agreed to accept the drug case against Damian Merrick that has been investigated by the Aurora Police Department. An assistant district attorney is now being selected to prosecute.
The case involves Merrick providing drugs to four minor girls on a road trip to a USA Volleyball sanctioned tournament in Denver, CO in February 2015.
