The holidays have come to Colleyville with a weekend full of community traditions.
Festivities start tonight with the Colleyville Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration starting at 5:00 p.m. in front of City Hall, 100 Main St. City officials, with help from Santa and company, will light the tree at 5:30 p.m. There will also be choral performances, games, photos with Santa, carriage rides, and more until 8:00 p.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Colleyville Lion’s Club will host Breakfast with Santa from 7:00-11:00 a.m. at the Colleyville Center, 5301 Riverwalk Dr. Families can enjoy a pancake breakfast, take photos with Santa, listen to performances from local school choirs, and enjoy balloons and face painting. Proceeds benefit the Colleyville Lions Club scholarships and other charities. Advanced tickets are $8 and tickets at the door are $10. One ticket covers the whole family.
The weekend comes to a close with the Colleyville Woman’s Club’s Holiday Home Tour from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4.
Participants will tour five homes beautifully decorated and made unique and magical by the homeowners. One home features a handmade front door from a 100-year-old Cyprus tree, another houses more than 40 paintings, one has a panoramic view from one of the highest points in Colleyville, one home features garlands of pearls and crystals, and one house takes on a modern, functional, and luxurious approach. Advance tickets are available for $25 at Albertsons, Bear Creek Wine & Spirits, Market Street and Vineyards Antique Mall in Colleyville.
