The Colleyville Heritage Panthers (5-3, 4-1 District 8-5A) were beaten by the Grapevine Mustangs (7-1, 4-1 District 8-5A) 49-34 on Friday, Oct. 21 at Mustang-Panther Stadium. The Mustangs victory ended the Panthers 6 game winning streak in the Battle for the Red Rail. Colleyville and Grapevine are now tied for 2nd position behind the Richland Rebels (8-1, 5-0 District 8-5A) in district play with 2 games remaining in the season. The Panthers still have to play Richland the last game of the season on Nov. 4.
The Panthers next home game is on Oct. 28 against Fort Worth Carter-Riverside (3-5, 1-4 District 8-5A) at Mustang-Panther Stadium.
