The North Texas Mean Green (1-1, 0-0 Conference USA) won a non-conference game by beating the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 41-20 0n Saturday, Sep. 10 at Apogee Stadium in Denton. The touchdown scored by the Mean Green in the first quarter was the first since 2014. The Mean Green had scored just nine points on three field goals in the first quarter in the previous 14 games.
The Mean Green will play a home conference game against Middle Tennessee State on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 6 PM at Apogee Stadium.
