Grapevine-Colleyville ISD announced its policy today for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the attached current income eligibility guidelines. Each school/site or the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by anyone on request.
Application forms are available to all households with the school registration packet at every GCISD campus. Along with the registration packet is a letter informing households of the availability of free and reduced-price meals for their children. Online applications are available at www.schoolunchapp.com. To apply for free and reduced-price meals, households must fill out the application and submit it online. Pre-printed applications are available at each school campus or can be printed from the online site. Printed applications must be returned to the school or Nutrition Services Office for processing. Applications may be submitted anytime during the school year. The information households provide on the application will be used for the purpose of determining eligibility and verification of data. Applications may be verified by the school officials at any time during the school year.

Categorical or Program Eligibility
Grapevine-Colleyville ISD is working with local agencies to identify all children who are categorically and program eligible. Any household that wishes to decline benefits should contact Nutrition Services at 817-251-5617.

Determining Eligibility
Under the provisions of the free and reduced-price meal policy, the Nutrition Services Office will review applications and determine eligibility. Households or guardians dissatisfied with the Reviewing Official’s eligibility determination may wish to discuss the decision with the Reviewing Official on an informal basis. Households wishing to make a formal appeal for a hearing on the decision may make a request either orally or in writing to Paula Barbaroux, Chief Operations Officer, 3051 Ira E. Woods Avenue, Grapevine, TX 76051, 817-251-5560.
Unexpected Circumstances
If a household member becomes unemployed or if the household size increases, the household should contact the school. Such changes may make the children of the household eligible for benefits if the household’s income falls at or below the attached current income eligibility guidelines.
