NRH2O Family Water Park is featured as one of the best water parks in America on FoxNews.com. The website showcases 8 “must visit” water parks in California, Georgia, Idaho, North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas with new attractions for 2016. NRH2O added Bounder’s Thrill Tower this summer, which offers visitors four times the fun:
- Sidewinder, a high thrill flatline loop that drops you through a trap door for a 60-foot free-fall before winding you in a loop;
- Riggamaroll, which whirls you around champagne-style bowl before coming to a stop;
- Thunder, an enclosed slide that has you twisting and turning into the water;
- Blue Sky, an open body slide that is perfect for guests looking for a calmer ride.
NRH2O opened in 1995 as the first municipally owned water park in Texas and has continued to be a leader in the water park industry, earning numerous national awards and recognitions. The park is enjoyed by around 250,000 guests each summer.
While NRH2O is owned by the City of North Richland Hills, it doesn’t utilize city tax dollars. The facility operates like a business, with park revenues being invested back into the operations and maintenance of the facility.
