The Grapevine Mustangs (33-6) are now the Region 1 5A Champions after sweeping the Lake Dallas Falcons (26-12) 6-1 in the 2nd Region Final Playoff game played June 4 at Dallas Baptist University. The win sends the Mustangs to the State Championship playoffs in Round Rock and the Semifinal game against Whitehouse (25-11) at 4:00 PM on Jun 9. The State 5A Championship game is scheduled for 7:00 PM the next evening.
