Ms Hadley is looking at her Memory of the Colleyville political past through rose colored, very low definition lenses. Most non impaired memories can see close parallel of the present expansion debate to that during Mayor Donna Arps’ administration of “The Village at Colleyville” debate that resulted in A., a TIF that may yet cause the city financial problems, B.,a job with the developer for Arp after her term as mayor, and C., the rejection of a wonderful “gift” of the site now developed on the other side of 26. Compare that development to the “Village” as a commercial center. The same Village gang somehow brought the City Hall and the Library to the Village.
Since historical data is commonly distorted by the possessor, these arguments should not waste much time in an intellectional discussion. Forget it and move on.
