Apparently former Sex Offender Doug Bachstein has lost his happy home in Colleyville when he took off with the family Suburban without permission for the second time in three years!  Bachstein, 37, was arrested on March 20, 2008 for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle after his longtime benefactor, Mark Stokes, 5317 Rustic Trail, charged him with taking his red Chevrolet SUV ($4,000). Bachstein is also being held in the Tarrant County Detention Center for Theft of a Vehicle, Failure Register Annually for Life as a Sex Offender, and Evading Arrest/Detention With a Motor Vehicle-Prior. As reported in Local News Only, on April 8, 2005, Doug Bachstein took the family Suburban for a spin and ultimately ran into the Couch building on Colleyville Boulevard while trying to evade a routine traffic stop. He ran from the SUV after crashing it into the cinder block building and across the parking lot into the Kroger Grocery store. When cornered by Police Officer Raymon Cannon, Bachstein attacked him and they fought on the floor until other Officers arrived.
