Sheriff Dee Anderson will testify Thursday afternoon December 10, 2015 before the Texas House State Affairs Committee at the Capitol by invitation of the Chairman, Hon. Bryon Cook (R-Corsicana).
Sheriff Anderson’s testimony will address how Tarrant County jail operations foster close cooperation with Homeland Security/Immigration (ICE). Sheriff Anderson will outline how Tarrant county jail policies assist ICE tracking persons of interest potentially in the USA illegally and accused of committing additional crimes.
Sheriff Anderson’s position positively tracks the type of partnership espoused by Governor Greg Abbott. Sheriff Anderson’s policies keep Tarrant county eligible for state criminal justice grants awarded through the Governor’s office.
