On Tuesday, November 17, Silverado introduced members of the Southlake community to its innovative approach to memory care. Attendees were welcomed to the event by memory care innovator & visionary Loren Shook, who founded Silverado 19 years ago to change the way people with Alzheimer’s and other memory impairing condition were being cared for — with a focus on giving individuals a sense of purpose as they continue to live their lives. From its research-based Nexus program for people with early-stage dementia to unmatched clinical outcomes, the Silverado environment is unlike that of any other memory care provider. At capacity, this new location will serve up to 60 residents and support about 60 local healthcare jobs.
