FURTHER UPDATE: Merrick’s bond has been held as insufficient. In addition there is a Hold out of Granbury on him. He is being held with No Bond at this point and since there is no bond, he will remain in Tarrant Co. custody.
Three Felony Warrants were signed by a Granbury Judge today. A Hold has been placed on Merrick at the Tarrant Co Jail. He will be transported when and if he is released from Tarrant Co.
Case# G15011291 – 1 count of indecency with a child-sexual contact; 2 counts of Delivery of Controlled Substance or marijuana to a Child.
The latest in the ongoing saga of Damian Merrick happened in Judge Westfall’s court room last week.
Although Merrick was brought over from County Jail, Judge Westfall declined to see him in her courtroom. Merrick violated a rule about the charging/connectivity of his GPS monitoring device. In a stern voice the Judge noted this was Merrick’s 3rd violation. She ordered that he remain in jail and she doubled his Bond to $90,000.
