Crews made great progress overnight. They located the leak early last evening and worked until the early hours of this morning pumping water out of the massive 12-foot-deep hole and installing safety materials to allow them to start the repairs. They finished those repairs a short time ago and the Trinity River Authority has water coming back into the city through this line.
This was a major undertaking and full restoration will take another 24 hours but, while we continue to encourage water conservation, normal water use can resume at this time.
