The Colleyville Heritage Panthers (1-1, 0-0 District 7-6A) defeated their cross-town rivals the Grapevine Mustangs (1-1, 0-0 District 6-5A) 27-0 in a non-district game played Friday, Sep. 4 at Mustang-Panther Stadium.
This game was the annual “Battle of the Red Rail” between the two schools.
The Mustangs offense prove to be ineffective much of the night. Grapevine had only 63 yards rushing, with 49 coming on one carry from Zach Wolf. The Panthers only had a 10 point lead at the half with only a total of 72 yards.
Colleyville’s next home game will be another non-district game against Lake Highlands on Sep. 11. The Mustangs will not play at home until Sep. 25 when they play Lake Dallas in a district matchup.
