The Texas Comptroller’s Office posted the most recent sales tax allocation information today, which reflects purchases made in June.
From the sales tax revenues reported this month, General Fund sales tax is down 6.64% (-$24,771) from revenues reported for the same time period last year. Year-to-date General Fund sales tax is up 2.91% ($72,076). This is the third month that sales tax has declined this fiscal year (May was down 0.36%; July was down 6.34%).
The August 2015 CCCPD allocation is down 5.08% (-$8,066) compared to the same time last year, and is up year-to-date 4.97% ($53,157). This is the second month this fiscal year that collections are down, as compared to the prior year (July was down 6.30%). Sales
In Tarrant County, all cities are up an average of 7.36%. The following cities are less than the increase in the countywide average: Euless (5.53%), Grapevine (-1.85%), Hurst (5.27%), Keller (2.81%), and Southlake (6.53%). Attached is the cumulative monthly sales tax spreadsheet for reference.
