Market Street’s pharmacy is offering the below vaccinations:
- Meningitis vaccine – Kids should have a meningitis vaccination at 11-12 years and a booster at 16-18 years. Meningitis vaccine is also required before entering Texas colleges and universities.
- HPV (Gardasil) vaccine – Kids should get the HPV vaccine at age 11-12, but young women can be vaccinated through age 26 and males through age 21. The United Family offers the new HPV vaccine that covers nine strains of this potentially deadly virus.
- Tdap (Whooping Cough) vaccine – The Tdap vaccine should be given to children at 11-12 years and to every adult age 19 or older regardless of how long it has been since the last dose. All pregnant women should receive a booster dose at week 27-36 of gestation.
