Four Colleyville suspects arrested in Grapevine for burglaries of cars and racial graffiti…three are no stranger to Colleyville Police
It began with the burglaries of cars then proceeded to senseless, and apparently random vandalism.
Christopher Ryan Rucker, 19
1704 Gate House Ct. Colleyville
On Sierra Drive in Grapevine a radio was taken from a red Eclipse and on Sierra Drive, Chaparral Court and Hickory Lake Drive, obscene images, swastikas and racial slurs were painted in the bright colors on cars and a house before a resident called 911 about a burglary in progress, Bob Murphy of the Grapevine Police Department reported.
Murphy said police stopped a car about 2:43 a.m. in the 2700 block of Pin Oak Drive.
Inside police found stolen including a wallet and credit cards along with the ever present and most incriminating spray-paint cans. As officers searched the neighborhood they found vandalized cars.
When morning rolled in residents began to find they had been victims overnight to “punks” as one homeowner described the perpetrators.
Because the cars were randomly selected and belonged to white residents, the men will not be charged with hate crimes, Murphy said.
“This is unusual, particularly in a city like Grapevine, because of the high community standards,” Murphy said. “That type of conduct isn’t tolerated and just isn’t widely seen.”
Houses on Sierra Drive and Cimarron Trail were painted with a swastika and a racial slur and had to be repainted. Other residents were cleaning the images off their trucks and cars Monday afternoon.
The four Colleyville marauders were described as “punks looking for attention” by one of the victims in Grapevine.

LNO often is requested to remove data based on alleged clearance of charges at a later date. LNO therefore is expanding and restating our policy on removing information by request at a later date from the archives dating back to 2000.
LNO Policy –All information posted on this page is obtained from information that is available to the public.
Note: Considering the long period taken to clear most cases through the court system, LNO does not have the ability to track the eventual outcome of every arrest. If you or someone you know has been reported arrested in this weekly column and subsequently been cleared of the charges inform LNO with verifiable information. LNO will provide equal coverage to same or removal of information at requester’s choice. Note: A downward plea, for example “obstruction of a roadway” in lieu of a DWI/DUI is not considered “cleared of charges”. A Deferred Adjudication sentence is a conviction with deferred sentencing and not a “dismissal of charges.” LNO policy is not to remove information based on this criteria. However, LNO will bring forward and update the information if requested by the convicted party. If interested party makes claims of dismissal but public records indicate no dismissal; LNO may update information and bring forward other public record information.
