School supplies needed for annual GCISD Back-to-School Fair
To help students get ready for the new school year, GCISD has again partnered with CONNECT and the community to provide backpacks, school supplies and school and community services information to students and families in need through the 4th Annual Back-to-School Fair. This year will be the largest ever for the Fair, with more than 2,200 students registered, increasing the number of vital donations needed for our students.
“The Back-to-School Fair serves as such a critical resource for our families, where school and community convene in one place at one time to provide necessary tools to families needing them most,” said Dr. Robin Ryan, GCISD superintendent of schools. “With the significant growth in attendance estimated for this year’s fair, we support our community’s efforts to collect the necessary donations to help our students be prepared for the new year. We are relying on our community businesses and organizations to help fill this gap of donations, and greatly appreciate their support.”
Here’s how to donate:
- Directly purchase a supply pack online through the vendor’s website: educationalproducts.com/ShopPacks using the school code “GCE000.” Packs will be delivered to the students at the fair.
- Through a PayPal donation on the GCISD Education Foundation’s website http://www.gcisd-k12.org/foundation (please note online that the payment is for “school supplies”)
- Write a check to the “GCISD Education Foundation” with the note “school supplies.” A check to GCEF can be mailed or delivered to the office at 3051 Ira E. Woods Ave., Grapevine, TX 76051.
