ROAD CONSTRUCTION ALERTS
This is a special alert to give you as much notice as possible about road construction that may affect you. Regular road construction and project updates will be sent in the regular Colleyville E-News later this week.
SH 26 LANE CLOSURES/DETOURS
Starting Friday, June 5, at 7:00 p.m., northbound traffic will not be able turn left from SH 26 onto John McCain Road. Drivers can proceed to Longwood Drive and make a U-turn to go back to John McCain Road or use Tinker Road to bypass the detour. The detour will be in place until late afternoon on Sunday, June 7. This detour is necessary so crews can remove the existing pavement and replace it with a high early-strength concrete at that intersection. Drivers on John McCain Road will still be able to turn either northbound or southbound onto SH 26.
On Saturday, June 6, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the southbound left lane of SH 26, from Brumlow Avenue/Pool Road to Longwood Drive, will be closed while crews set new bridge decks.
SOUTH WHITE CHAPEL BOULEVARD RECONSTRUCTION
The city of Southlake has notified us about reconstruction work on White Chapel Boulevard, from the Colleyville border to West Continental Boulevard. The project started on June 1 and has a completion timeframe of mid- to late August 2015, weather permitting.
Project construction hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. During those hours, South White Chapel Boulevard will be reduced to one lane of traffic. Delays should be anticipated and drivers should follow directions from traffic control personnel if traveling in the area at those times.
