Colleyville Hometown Hero
Honored July 2, 2005
Steven Charles Tucker, a 2004 graduate of Colleyville Heritage High, furthered his family tradition of serving his country begun by his father and two older brothers. Involved as a drum major, football player and track athlete at Colleyville, he joined the Army upon graduation. He died May 21, 2005 in southern Afghanistan when his Humvee was hit by a bomb. With a staunch sense of patriotism his answer to his country was that “he was up to the challenge.”
